Hosting a Course

Hosting a bootcamp in your city is a great way for your user group to raise funds, and a great way for your company to strengthen and get connected into your local Plone community.

The Plone Bootcamp model works best when we partner with existing user groups and Zope/Plone-loving companies.

This allows us to find space, students, and catering, without having to do a lot of running aorund.

It also allows us to give back—the bootcamps so far have raised thousands of dollars for local user groups, including:

  • Seattle Plone Users Group
  • Zope/Python Users of DC
  • TriZPUG

Benefits to Your Company/Group

  • Low-cost training available to your staff or group members
  • Opportunities to meet and network with other local Zope/Plone users
  • Building local capacity for Zope/Plone development

How it Works

  • We provide the registration site, help set a cost and capacity, and handle all registration and payment issues.
  • You help us identify a space and catering resources. We pay for these up front.
  • We give you free or reduced-price seats for your members or staff.
  • After a successful course, we make a predetermined donation to your area users group.

This was my first exposure to 'open source' training and this bootcamp was on a par with any corporate training I have attended.
